Peter John Boehlke
Peter John Boehlke lost his battle with addiction and died unexpectedly of an overdose in South St. Paul, Minnesota early on the morning of April 11, 2021 at the age of 26.
Peter will be missed every day by his parents, Daniel and Sandra of New Ulm, grandparents, Paul and Jeanette Boehlke of New Ulm and Marcella Lawson of Le Sueur, brother Mathew (Kate) of St. Paul, sister Rebecca of St. Paul, brother Thomas of St. Paul, sister Rachel of New Ulm, niece Ruth, nephew Paul, godparents Joel and Lisa Boehlke of St. Peter, and his loving aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Lewis Lawson.
Peter was born on January 19th, 1995 in St. Paul, Minnesota. He attended Crown of Life Lutheran School and St. Croix Lutheran Academy in West St. Paul. He graduated from North St. Paul High School with the Class of 2012, and was proud to be graduating on time while pursuing treatment. He was fascinated by his Grandfather Lawson’s military service and engineering career. His siblings remember him as a smart, loving brother who encouraged them, shared his knowledge, and took pride in their accomplishments. He was a kind and generous individual who loved animals, nature and gardening. He was fascinated by quality and engineering, passionate about music and disc golf.
A small funeral for family and close friends will be held Saturday morning, April 24th, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, New Ulm. Pastor Sutton will officiate the ceremony. Due to COVID, we ask that those who attend, wear masks and follow social distancing guidelines. The family thanks everyone who cared for him and helped him throughout his life; he has found rest in the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ.
