Linda was born in Sioux City, Iowa to parents Anne and Raymond. The family moved to New Ulm, Minnesota several years later. She completed her public education in New Ulm and graduated in 1970. Linda then attended Bemidji State University (1970-1974) obtaining an Elementary Teaching Degree with Early Childhood/Special Education minors. At University she found her soul mate, Ivan of 46 years. They married the summer of 1974 and moved to Canada. They taught 1 year in Manitoba and then journeyed west to Quesnel, British Columbia, where she continued teaching. She retired in 2010 after many years teaching in the Kindergarten classroom where she picked up lots of good stories and laughs. Outside of school, she enjoyed activities of cross-country skiing, golf, slow-pitch softball and curling. Linda was predeceased by her mother and father and two younger brothers.

She is survived by her husband, Ivan, sister Sandy (Tom) Bauer, and brother Spencer.
