Service will be held Saturday, January 16, at 11 a.m., at Norwegian Grove Lutheran Church, Sibley Township, Gaylord. Interment will be at a later date.

A gathering of family and friends will be held prior to the service on Saturday, from 9 to 11 a.m. Face masks will be needed, and social distancing will be practiced.

Marilyn Doris Briard was born on October 20, 1944, in New Ulm, to Arthur and Mildred (Lilienthal) Bentz.

She is survived by her husband Lance Briard of Gaylord; children Jeff Briard of Springfield; Karen “Kari” Koehler of Dunnell; and Megan Lambert of Victoria; 6 grandchildren; twin sister Carolyn Johnson of Winthrop and brothers Richard Bentz of Gibbon, Bradley Bentz of Hamburg, and Donovan Bentz of Gibbon.
