Lawrence “Larry” M. Hornig

NEW ULM — Lawrence “Larry” M. Hornig, age 87, of New Ulm, died Sunday, January 10, 2021 at his home.

A graveside service will be 11 am on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.

Lawrence is survived by his sister, Leona Rubie of New Ulm and a niece, Barbara (Pat) O’ Brien of Hayward, WI.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother-in-law, Anton Rubie; and a nephew, Robert “Bob” Rubie.

Lawrence Martin Hornig was born on February 2, 1933 in Three Lakes Township, Redwood County, to Anton & Agnes (Brandel) Hornig. He served in the U.S. Army as an MP from 1953-1955. After his service he worked for City Salvage in New Ulm. Lawrence retired from the City of New Ulm Street Department in 1995 after 30 years.
