Terri Ann Beranek was born on October 14, 1968 in New Ulm to Kenneth and Shirleen (Altmann) Beranek. She attended St. George Elementary School and graduated from New Ulm High School in 1987. On October 28, 1989, she was united in marriage to Craig Portner at The Church of Saint George. Terri started working at Kmart and found her passion of giving back to others through her work at daycare, nursing homes, and as an EMT in Lafayette. Terri was happiest when she was spending time with her family, she loved her children and especially adored her grandchildren. She loved her flowers and taking photos. Terri could always be found in the stands at the kids’ sports games cheering them on. Her siblings have many fond memories with Terri out on the family farm. Although her passing seems sudden and unexpected to many, countless cherished memories will forever stay in the hearts of those who knew her best. Blessed be those memories.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to New Ulm Medical Center Hospice Care.
