Mae Teresa Schnitzler was born May 7, 1933, in Benson, MN to Henry and Lillian (Goulet) Schnitzler. She graduated from Holloway High School. Mae married the love of her life Alvin Sukohl on August 19, 1952. During their 60 years of marriage they resided in Morris, Sleepy Eye, St James, New Ulm and Lakeville. Shortly after Alvin’s death in 2012, Mae moved back to New Ulm.

Mae’s Christian faith has been of utmost importance to her and a genuine influence in the way she lived her life. She has been actively involved in Christian Mothers, teaching of religion classes and the foster care program. For over 20 years her passion was her job as Librarian for the New Ulm Area Catholic School until her retirement.

Family has been her main focus and enjoyment. If there was a get together be it immediate family or extended, she was there. There are many traditions and memories that will pass on from generation to generation. She will live in our hearts forever.
