Rosemary Cuff

FAIRFAX — Rosemary Cuff, age 78, of Fairfax, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2020, at New Ulm Medical Center in New Ulm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, October 31, 2020, 10:30 A.M. at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Fairfax with Father Bruno Santiago officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Gathering of Family and Friends will be Saturday, October 31, 2020, from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the church.

Rosemary Leona Cuff was born on September 1, 1942, in New Ulm, MN. She was the daughter of Otto and Lozina (Hahn) Clobes. Rosemary was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth, both at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Fairfax. She received her education at St. Andrew’s Catholic School and a country school and was a graduate of the Fairfax High School.

On July 29, 1961, Rosemary was united in marriage to Gerald Cuff at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church. This marriage was blessed with three children, Ruth, Duane and Brad. Rosemary and Jerry resided in the Fairfax, MN area. She worked at numerous occupations with her family which included hauling tile, laying sod, cooking at the family restaurant, along with raising a family. For years she worked at one of the local grocery stores in the meat room in Fairfax until retirement. After this, she did some home assembly work to keep her busy. Rosemary was a loving mother and wife. They shared 53 years of marriage when Jerry passed away on August 1, 2014.

Rosemary was a member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Fairfax.

Rosemary enjoyed fishing for many years with Jerry, flowers, birds, pets, cooking, trips to the casino, BINGO, shopping and buying anything on sale, hosting family and friends, and playing cards. She cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.

Rosemary is survived by her children, Ruth (Paul) Domeier of Fairfax, MN, Duane (Maria) Cuff of Fairfax, MN, Brad (Debra) Cuff of Miltona, MN; grandchildren, Adam (Carrie) Cuff, Matt (Tasha) Cuff, Melissa (Tyler) Vorwerk; great-grandchildren, Lane, Adalyn and Lucas Vorwerk, Hannah Cuff; step grandchildren, Philip (Renee) Skoglund, Amanda (Zach) Skoglund, Kamaria (Adam) Schmidt; step-great grandchildren, Levi, Tobin and Micah Schmidt, Ahnaleigh Skoglund-Rouillard, Aria, Grayson and Kinzey Skoglund; siblings, Steve (Pat) Clobes of Fairfax, Jean Toren of Bird Island, Mark (Chris) Clobes of Fairfax, Paul (Rita) Clobes of Fairfax, Alan (Tally) Clobes of Fairfax, Tom (Beth) Clobes of Waverly, John Clobes of Fairfax; sisters-in-law, Sharon Clobes of Sioux Falls, SD, and Gayle Clobes of Fairfax, MN; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Lozina Clobes; husband, Jerry Cuff; brothers, Ronald Clobes, David Clobes and Leo Clobes; sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Warren Julius; parents-in-law, Floyd and Anna Cuff; and brothers-in-law, Jack Toren and Joe Bakken.
