Mary Domeier

NEW ULM — Mary Domeier, age 92, of New Ulm died on Saturday, July 4, 2020, at the Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

A private committal service will be held at the New Ulm City Cemetery in New Ulm, Minnesota.

The Christian Mothers will pray the rosary at 4pm on Thursday at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm.

The Minnesota Valley Funeral Homes of New Ulm are assisting the family with arrangements.

Mary is survived by her son, John Domeier of Mankato; her daughters, Ruth (Jack Giel) Hubbard of Cary, Illinois, and Barbara (Russell) Stafford of Terre Haute, Indiana; daughters-in-law, Joan Domeier of New Ulm, Michelle Ohland-Domeier of Eden Prairie; her grandchildren, Tammy Domeier, Chad Hubbard, Tara Chinski, Jeffrey Stafford, Travis Domeier, Adrienne Domeier; her great-grandchildren, Otis Hubbard, Josephine and Genevieve Chinski, Samantha, Gwendolyn, and Josephine Stafford, Roen and Quinn Anderson, Maxine Marble; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marvin Domeier; her son Mark Domeier; her daughter-in-law, Bonnie Domeier; and sister, Louise Comstock.

Mary Jean Kienlen was born October 3, 1927, in St. George, Minnesota to Hugo and Mary Kienlen. She was united in marriage to Marvin Domeier on March 21, 1947 at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Ulm. The couple was blessed with four children whom together they raised in Siegel Township where Marvin worked as a farmer, and Mary worked at 3M in New Ulm. She was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm and was an active member of the Christian Mothers’ Society. Blessed be her memory.
