Memorial Service will be 11:00 am, Friday, June 19, 2020 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Father Garrett Ahlers will celebrate the Mass. Burial will follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery with military honors provided by the New Ulm Area Comrades of Valor Honor Guard.

Due to current social constraints, the visitation will be held from 9:00 – 11:00 am on Friday, June 19 at Cathedral of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, and seating for the Mass will be limited.

Harvey is survived by his wife Jean; daughter, Sharon (Mike) Groebner, of New Ulm; sons, Steve (Erin) Janni, of Eau Claire, WI, Brian Janni, of Eden Prairie; 2 grandchildren, Sam and Lydia Janni and his brother, Gary Janni, of New Ulm.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Alan Janni.

Harvey Edwin Janni was born August 30 th, 1938 in New Ulm to Edwin and Alice (Tauer) Janni. He attended District #69 in Sigel Township and graduated from New Ulm High School. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served from 1956 – 1959. After his time in the service, he worked construction from 1959 – 1963. On September 7th, 1963, he married Jean Marti at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Ulm. He worked in tire sales and services for various shops in the area until he retired.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the donor’s choice.
