A private family service will take place at Christ Lutheran Cemetery in Stately Township on Thursday, May 21. The family is planning a memorial services at a later date.

Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield.

Roy Therkilsen was born on August 30, 1922, to Marinus and Agnes (Andersen) Therkilsen in Delton Township near Sanborn.

He is survived by his children Jean Leopold of St. James, Rodney Therkilsen of Otsego, Jennifer Therkilsen-Gebhard of Park Rapids, Jay Therkilsen of Brandon, Fla., Randy Therkilsen of Comfrey, and Terry Therkilsen of Comfrey; 15 grandchildren; and 28 great grandchildren.
