He is survived by his wife, Rita Geiger and son, Aaron Geiger; a sister Roxanne Andersen of Hanska; granddaughter, Jasmine Geiger of Melvin, Iowa, and many nieces and nephews and his companion Tom T the cat. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Henry Geiger, and mother, Josephine Nelson Geiger.

Lloyd was born Dec. 2, 1945 in St. James, growing up on the family farm on the west end of Lake Hanska. He attended country school in Albion Township and graduated from Sleepy Eye Public High School in 1963. He married Rita Keim on Sept. 16, 1966 in Sleepy Eye. He was a mechanic working for Stoltenburg Motors New Ulm, Wallner Construction New Ulm, as an outside service for UPS New Ulm and had his own shop in rural New Ulm near Cambria.

Lloyd and Rita enjoyed camping and traveled many miles pulling the family RV with his favorite F350 Ford diesel truck.
