NEW ULM — Raymond Sehr, age 87, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2020 at the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm. Father Cornelius Ezeiloaku will celebrate the Mass. Burial will follow in the Catholic Cemetery in New Ulm.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2020 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – NORTH CHAPEL in New Ulm. Visitation will continue from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the North Chapel.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Lois Sehr; daughters, Debra Waibel of New Ulm, Darla (Dennis) Cummings of Nicollet; sons, Dennis Sehr of New Ulm, Dawayne (Debbie) Sehr of Clements; 5 grandchildren, Ben, Amanda, Brandee, Tre, Isaiah; 4 great grandchildren, Mason, Logan, Annalisha, Hunter; 1 great-great-grandchild, Emberlynn; sister, Mary Ann (Irv) Zenk of Albert Lea; sister-in-law, Mary Beth Sehr; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Larry Waibel; brother, Benedict (Evelyn) Sehr, Linus Sehr, Edwin Sehr; and sister, Irene (Wilford) Griebel.

Raymond Joseph Sehr was born February 2, 1932 to Benedict and Clara (Reiniger) Sehr. He was united in marriage to Lois Clark in August of 1951 at Worthington. Their union was blessed with 4 children. Raymond worked most of his career at American Artstone. After 30 years there, he worked at 3M for 4 years, then began to work independently and cleaned businesses with Lois.

Raymond enjoyed life. He was often found fishing, growing flowers, or simply spending time outdoors. He also loved the annual bus trips he and Lois would take together and getting to spend time with his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by those that knew him. Blessed be his memory.
