Joanne Mulrennan’s spirit left the confines of her hospital room on January 7, 2020, twelve days shy of her 91st birthday. She joined her husband Robert, parents Cliff and Marie Robertson, sister Nancy, and many other relatives who had died before her.
Joanne had a deep compassion for all living things, especially children and the many dogs and cats who were welcomed into her home. She had a remarkable green thumb, caring for a forest of indoor plants and gardens scattered around the yard. In the kitchen she was a veritable magician, often creating a full and nourishing meal for 10 or more from a seemingly empty pantry and refrigerator. In her later years she rekindled her love of drawing, and gave us many portraits of the children and animals in her life.
Survived by children and their spouses Kathleen and Tony BIebl, Colleen and Joe Duggan, Dan and Mia Mulrennan, Tim and Cindy Mulrennan, Brian and JoAnn Mulrennan, Maureen and Ross Matson, Nancy Mulrennan and Peter Sohal, Trish Reubish, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family gives special thanks to the wonderful and devoted caregivers at the Villa of St. Louis Park and the caring people of Grace Hospice.
Funeral service: Tuesday, January 14, visitation at 10:00am, service at 11:00am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 13505 Excelsior Blvd., Minnetonka, MN 55345.
