Roy Brueske

NEW ULM — Roy Brueske, 67, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 6 , 2019 at his home in New Ulm.

Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, October 10, 2019 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Homes – SOUTH CHAPEL in New Ulm. Father Gerald Meidl will officiate. The New Ulm Area Comrades of Valor Honor Guard will provide full military honors.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Homes – SOUTH CHAPEL in New Ulm. Visitation will continue from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the South Chapel.

Roy is survived by his wife, Barbara Brueske; mother, Marion Brueske; son, Nathan Brueske; and brother, Dale Brueske; all of New Ulm.

He was preceded in death by his father, LeRoy Brueske; and a brother, Gary Brueske.

Roy Norbert Brueske was born on December 12, 1951, to LeRoy and Marion (Boelter) Brueske in New Ulm. He graduated from New Ulm Public High School in 1969. Roy was united in marriage to Barbara (Ranweiler) Brueske on July 31, 1976, at Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm. Their union was blessed with a son, Nathan Brueske. Roy served in the United States Army from 1971 to 1972 in Germany. After his military tour, Roy began working in construction at various businesses. He finished his career at Hoffman Construction when his health forced him to retire. He was an active member of the American Legion and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Roy will be missed by all that knew him. Blessed be his memory.
