A Celebration of Life gathering is 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home-South Chapel in New Ulm.

A private family funeral service will be held at a later date.

Cassi is survived by her mother, Judy Gerdes of New Ulm; her father, John Gerdes of Dade City, Florida; her sons, Ethan, Brogan, Graysan Richter of New Ulm; her brother, Jeff Gerdes of New Ulm; her grandmother, Rosemary Quiring of Lake Crystal.

Cassandra Anne Gerdes was born February 1, 1984, in Chile. Cassi was adopted at age 2 by John and Judy (Quiring) Gerdes.
