Services will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Baxter MN, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.

Al was born in Green Isle, MN on Oct. 1, 1929 to Vernon and Myrtle (Sinell) Budahn. He graduated from Arlington High School, and enlisted in the Air Force in 1951. Al married Helen (Wisch) on Sept. 12, 1952, the couple was married until Helen’s passing in 1988. Al then married Marianne (Berger) on Nov. 16, 1996. He worked at Budahn Garage with his father and brothers in New Ulm. He then drove truck for Indianhead Trucking for many years with no accidents. Al enjoyed water skiing and flying remote control airplanes. He played softball and tennis well into his 70s, and would still drive his three wheeler to Stuart to get a good burger.

Al is survived by his loving wife Marianne; children Sandy (Tommy) Blons, Steve (Suzette) Budahn, Karl (Brenda) Budahn, Judy (Blaine) Stinson, Sharon (Pat) Schwartzwald; sister-in-laws Naomi Budahn and Joan Budahn; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Al is preceded in death by his first wife, Helen; parents, Vernon & Myrtle; brothers, Lewis, Claude, Verne, Earl; and an infant sister.

Our family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Diamond Willow and Good Samaritan Hospice for the exceptional care for our husband and father.
