Makayla is survived by her loving grandmother, Emily Plunges and her domestic partner Randy Doyle of New Ulm; her great-grandmother and great-grandfather, Jaqueline and Joseph Elliott of Shelby, North Carolina; her aunt, Jessan Diaz; uncle, Raphael Diaz; cousins, Serena Diaz, Cabel Conn all of Vero Beach, Florida; her great-uncle and great-aunt, Chuck and Natasha Woodard of Guyton, Georgia; and her special aunt and uncle, Lorza Marie and Jason Sparks of Bedford, Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her father, Tristan Reading; her aunt, Haley Riley; her great- grandfather, William Plunges, and great-grandmother, Helen Plunges.

Makayla Anne Reading was born on July 26, 2015, in North Carolina, the daughter of Tristan Reading. She grew up in the Virginia area and truly was a free spirited, fun loving child. She loved chasing butterflies, and lightning bugs, and cooking s’mores over the fire. As most girls as well, she loved anything pink, purple, lavender and white, as well as her teddy bears and especially Winnie the Pooh and Eeyore. Makayla now joins the angels in heaven that she loved so dearly and together will get to watch over us. Until we all can be together again, may God bless her beautiful spirit.
