Paul Charles Griebel was born August 3, 1955 in New Ulm to Charles and Jane (Fesenmaier) Griebel. He was a 1973 graduate from the New Ulm Public High School and later graduated from the U of M. Paul enjoyed building things his whole life. As a child, it was erector sets, racecar tracks, FFA and 4H projects.

As an adult, Paul worked at building his own businesses. Paul was able to spend over 30 years with his late wife Janet. Paul also built countless friendships through baseball, the U of M, the Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity, the coffee shop, and back on the softball field as an umpire. Paul’s last weekend involved a trip to New Ulm to visit family, including spending quality time with his father at Oak Hills. He enjoyed an evening reminiscing with friends at his 45th high school class reunion as well. Paul was a hard working individual, a caring son, loving husband, devoted father, loving grandpa, supportive brother, fun loving uncle, a phenomenal friend to many, and most recently, held a special loving relationship with Cindi. They planned to be married June 2019. Paul will be best remembered for his huge smile, a small chuckle and always having just the right words to say at just the right time. Although his passing seems so sudden and unexpected, cherished memories will stay in the hearts of all who knew him best. He will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Alpha Gamma Rho Foundation, New Ulm High School FFA Chapter or family wishes.
