A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, June 8, 2018 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home-North Chapel in New Ulm. Ennichement will take place in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery columbarium following the service.

Visitation will be from 4-7 pm on Thursday, and continue from 9-11 am on Friday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home-North Chapel in New Ulm.

Alton is survived by his wife, LuAnn Scharbach of New Ulm; daughter, Tammy (Jason Richards) Scharbach, Cottage Grove, WI.; son, Dale (Ashley) Scharbach, Mankato; grandchildren, Vincent and Kelsey Richards and Liam and Carter Scharbach; his sisters, Doris (Lyle) Turbes, Judy Larson, Nancy Larsen, Bonnie (Keith) Fruhwirth; his brother Paul (Marcie Elmore) Scharbach and his godchildren, Dusty Scharbach and Melissa Larson.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Betty Ann Scharbach, Donna Olson; brothers, Henry Scharbach, Mark Scharbach; and his brothers-in-law, Kenneth Larson and Ron Larsen.

Alton Dale Scharbach was born on November 5th, 1955 in New Ulm to August and Magdelene (Sellner) Scharbach. Alton graduated from New Ulm Public School in 1975. After school he married LuAnn Cutler on October 13, 1979 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Ulm. Alton started his career working at Kraft and later went onto to Tony Downs. Alton spent the majority of his working career at AMPI in New Ulm. He later went on to work at New Ulm City Park and Rec. Alton enjoyed socializing with his friends and loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
