Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Winthrop with interment in the Winthrop Cemetery.

Gathering of family and friends will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, at the Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Winthrop and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

Roger A. Pagel was born on June 28, 1937, in Winthrop, to Leo and Ella (Grochow) Pagel.

He was a member of the Winthrop Army Reserves and was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., and Fort Dix, N.J.

Roger is survived by his wife, Lois Pagel of Winthrop; children, Ronald Pagel of Dassel, Julie Bauer of Eagan, and Kristi Ruschmeyer of Glencoe; 6 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
