Morgin Taylor Rasmussen

NEW ULM — Morgin Taylor Rasmussen, age 19 of New Ulm died Monday, November 20, 2017 at the Mayo Clinic Health Systems-St. Mary’s Campus in Rochester after a lifelong battle with heart defects.

Funeral Service will be 11 am on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home-NORTH CHAPEL in New Ulm. Pastor Becca Krogstad will officiate, and burial will follow in the New Ulm City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-7 pm on Friday, and continue from 10-11 am on Saturday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home-NORTH CHAPEL in New Ulm.

Morgin is survived by her parents, Susannah (Erik) Setterholm of New Ulm; sister, and brother, Ava and Ash Setterholm; Grandma Freddy Rasmussen of Evan; grandparents, Carol and Glen Setterholm of New Ulm; aunts, Jacky (Mike) Fischer of Hanska, Gail (Mike) Reinarts of New Ulm; uncles, Fredric Rasmussen of Evan, Gabriel (Cassie) Rasmussen of Sleepy Eye; and cousins, Josie, Jamie, and Jayden Fischer; Everlee Rasmussen; and Livia, Liza, and Lincoln Reinarts.

She was preceded in death by Grandpa Freddy Rasmussen.

Morgin Taylor Rasmussen was born December 22, 1997 in New Ulm. She dearly enjoyed attending the Sleepy Eye Elementary and New Ulm Public High School’s where many wonderful memories were made. Her love of people was evident her entire life. Simply being near people, reading books, hearing their voices, watching the Wheel of Fortune, or cuddling up next to them brought her the greatest comfort and joy in life. Although Morgin was born with heart complications which she courageously battled her entire life, she managed to touch so many lives around her. These precious memories of Morgin will forever stay in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Blessed be her memory.
