Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Mankato. Visitation will be 9:30-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the New Ulm City Cemetery. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Memorials are preferred to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, the Diabetes Association, or the donor’s choice.

Constance was born on March 17, 1929 in Lake Hanska Township, MN to Fritz and Clara (Broste) Lee. Connie graduated from Sleepy Eye High School in 1947 and from the University of Minnesota, School of Agriculture in 1949. On June 13, 1953, Connie was united in marriage to Kenneth Watschke at the Lake Hanska Lutheran Church. She worked for Federated Insurance for many years. Connie had a passion in life for quilting and spending time with her family.

Connie is survived by three children, Karen Watschke, Keith (Barb) Watschke, and LeAnne (DuWayne) Schatza; grandchildren, Sarah (Dan) Nimlos, Matt Schatza, and Mark Schatza; great-grand son, Elijah Nimlos; sister, Dorothy (Sidney) Schmiesing; brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Ken.
