Renae M. Simenson

Simenson, Renae M., nee Sandhoefner age 69 of Eden Prairie passed away Aug. 29, 2017 after a courageous two-year battle with gastric cancer. Preceded in death by grandparents, Otto and Ella Markert and Joseph and Freida Sandhoefner. Survived by parents Delbert and Eunice Sandhoefner; brother, Lynn (Jan) Sandhoefner; sister, Jill (Pastor Bill) Reck; husband, Gary; daughters, Julia Simenson Smith and Sarah (Ryan) Wenkus; grandchildren, Quinnlan and Calista Smith and Parker and Paige Wenkus. She was a wonderful wife and mother, adoring grandmother, and a caring friend to all. She was a graduate of Sleepy Eye High School, class of 1965. A 30+ year employee of Eden Prairie Schools, she was affectionately known as “the voice of Eden Prairie Schools.” Renae was also a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Reformation Choir and the Eden Prairie Lioness. Memorial service 11 a.m. Tuesday (9/12) at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 16515 Luther Way, Eden Prairie, with visitation starting at 10 a.m.
