SLEEPY EYE — Faye Annette (Laurence) Parker, 79, of Sleepy Eye and formerly of California, died Saturday, January 7, 2017 at the Sleepy Eye Care Center in Sleepy Eye.  Graveside services will be held at a later date this summer at the Lutheran Cemetery in New Ulm.

Faye is survived by a daughter, Jill and a son Scott both of California, by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Loretta Laurence, her husband, Travis Parker; a daughter Tracy; a son Mark; and by brothers, Edmund and Clifford.

Faye Annette Laurence was born on November 25, 1937 in San Francisco, California to Jack and Loretta Laurence.   She grew up on the Herman Jeske farm, rural Hanska, and attended school in District #53 till the 8th grade.  In 1951 she moved back to Oakland, California.  Faye retired from Spunkmyer where they made wonderful cookies and muffins and she worked in the bookkeeping department.  Because of health problems Faye moved back to Minnesota in January of 2011.  She loved owls and all animals.  Faye raised poodles, cockatiels and fish and she enjoyed flowers.  Faye was a member of the Lutheran Church and the humane society.  To sign the guest book or to leave an online condolence for the family go to www.mvfh.org.
