Fern Ellen Jacobson was born December 12, 1932, in Butternut Township-Blue Earth County to Carl and Millie (Morrow) Jacobson. She was united in marriage with Wayne Forseth on December 28, 1949, in Madelia. The couple was blessed with three children whom together they raised in Madelia and New Ulm. Early in life, Fern worked as a waitress for many years, Tony Downs Foods, and Gopher Concrete before she began her career with 3M where she worked until her retirement. In her spare time, Fern enjoyed reading, sewing, making blankets, cooking and baking. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and the occasional trip with her sister to Jackpot. She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in New Ulm. What Fern truly loved the most was every moment she got to share with her family, especially her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Fern was always there to help others, and always put the needs of others first. She will be deeply missed by all of those who knew and loved her.
