Armin F. Wotschke
SLEEPY EYE – Armin F. Wotschke, age 89 of rural Sleepy Eye died on October 23, 2014, at Laurel’s Peak in Mankato.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 4 to 7 pm at the Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye and will continue on Monday from 9:30 until 10:30 am at the church.
Service will be held at the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, on Monday, October 27, 2014 at 10:30 am.
The clergy will be Pastor Nathanael Mayhew.
Interment will be at the Home Cemetery, in Sleepy Eye.
Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye.

Armin Frederick Wotschke was born April 20, 1925 to Fred and Anna(Weilage) Wotschke on a farm near Sleepy Eye, MN in Brown County. He was baptized on May 31, 1925 and confirmed April 2, 1939 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye. He attended school at Sleepy Eye District #22 and at St. John’s Lutheran School. Armin attended and was a charter member of Grace Lutheran Church, Sleepy Eye where he served on numerous boards and councils through the years. Armin worked on the family farm his entire life. He was a kind, gentle person who faithfully read his Bible, liked listening to old time music, and most especially enjoyed being with family. He looked forward to visits from family and was always interested in hearing about their lives. He shared his love of working the land with family members and patiently overlooked the mistakes of the city slickers who were the weekend farmers.
Armin Wotschke, was called to his heavenly home on October 23, 2014 at the age of 89.
Armin is survived by his sisters Adeline Enns of Sleepy Eye, and Bernice (Herbert) Geiger of Mankato, Nephews/Nieces – Dale (Laurie) Enns, JoAnn (David) Mack, Duane (Mitzi) Enns, Ron (Rita) Geiger, Karen (Steve) Purrington, Mark (Jane) Geiger, 13 great nieces and nephews and 5 great-great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Fred and Anna, sister Arlene, Nephews Dean Enns, Douglas, and infant baby Geiger.
