NEW ULM – Jeffry Fischer, 58, of New Ulm died Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at his home. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 6, 2014 at the St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm with Pastor Timothy Smith officiating. Visitation will be 4 7 p.m. Sunday and from 7:30 8:30 a.m. Monday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home, SOUTH CHAPEL, in New Ulm and will continue for one hour prior to the time of service at the church on Monday. Jeffry is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Adrianna and Michael Evers of St. Cloud, Irayna Fischer and her friend, Tyler Horstman of LaCrosse, Wisconsin; mother, Irene Fischer of New Ulm; sisters and brothers-in-law, Connie and John Micheel of New Ulm, Sheila and David Lein of New Brighton; sister-in-law, Diane Hofferbert and her husband, James of Sterling, Virginia; aunts; uncle; nieces; and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; brother, David Fischer; grandparents; aunts; uncles; and cousins.
Jeffry Otto Fischer was born on August 15, 1956 in New Ulm to Harold and Irene (Thom) Fischer. He was employed at Hutchinson Technology, New Ulm Precision Tool, and South Central College in North Mankato. Jeffry enjoyed teaching, cutting wood, fishing, spending time with family and friends, traveling, riding motorcycles and driving his roadster.
He was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm, and Skills U.S.A. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to, MVL, St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, South Central College, or the donor’s choice.
