New Ulm Police

Received a one-vehicle crash report without injuries on the 700 block of North Broadway at 9:08 a.m. Friday. A 2004 Chevy Avalanche driven by Steven R. Kramer, 54, Sleepy Eye, was northbound on Broadway, ran off the road, hit a mailbox and was stopped by a boulevard tree. Damage was moderate to the front end of the vehicle, severe to a post office mailbox and minor to the boulevard tree.

Thursday evening, at just after 6 p.m. an apprehesion and detention order was filed for the arrest of a possible probation violation. On the 1300 block of N. Fifth St. a probation officer reported somebody possibly under the influence of a controlled substances, violating their probation.

A tree fell on a garage bringing down power lines with it at just after 1 a.m. Friday morning. The tree, blown by high winds, fell on the 500 block of Jefferson St. S. and the garage suffered minor damage.
