Minnesota State Patrol • Responded to a two-vehicle crash at 6:48 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of State Highway 4 and Watonwan County Road 8, Ormsby. A 2002 GMC Sierra driven by Wyatt Bryan Wentland, 21, Trimont, was northbound on Highway 4 when it collided with an eastbound 2020 Ford Trans Connect driven by Scott Thomas Paukner, 58, Slayton. Paukner was transported to St. James Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Both drivers wore seat belts. New Ulm Police • Took a theft report of $587.95 worth of merchandise stolen at Menard’s Saturday. Store employees believe the suspect is a 36-year-old North Mankato man responsible for a $933.86 theft. A report for consideration of theft charges went to the Brown County Attorney’s Office. • Took a report of a rock thrown through a window, breaking glass on the 300 block of Front St. S. at 4:41 a.m. Sunday. New Ulm Police • Responded to a report of a 59-year-old New Ulm woman causing a disturbance at Subway on South Broadway at 11:51 a.m. Friday. The woman was frustrated that her gift cards did not work and got upset with employees. She caused an earlier disturbance at Subway in Springfield, police said. The store issued a trespass letter to the woman from area Subways. A report was done for documentation. • Stopped a vehicle for a hands-free cell phone violation at 7:15 p.m. Thursday.
