New Ulm Police • Responded to a two-vehicle crash at Broadway and 17th North Street at 4:58 a.m. Monday. A 2023 Nissan Rogue driven eastbound by Jennifer Hamelau, 50, New Ulm, failed to yield to a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu driven northbound by Alejandro Guerra, 58, Sleepy Eye. Damage was moderate disabling to the front of the Nissan and moderate, not disabling to the Chevrolet. Both drivers wore seat belts. New Ulm Police • Received a report at 11:06 a.m. Friday from a New Ulm woman who said she received emails and phone calls the past few days from an individual claiming to be with Geek Squad computer support. The woman said she bought $7,500 in gift cards and sent them to the caller. A report went to a police investigator. • Responded to a two-vehicle crash without injuries at 12th South and Broadway at 1:41 p.m. Friday.
