New Ulm Police • Received a two-vehicle crash report at 3:19 p.m. July 7 at Broadway and 18th St. South. A 2024 Honda Pilot driven by Claire Victoria Hendrickson, 15, New Ulm, was northbound in the inside lane on Broadway when it collided with a westbound 2026 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Larry Wayne Torke, 76, Hanley Falls stopped at 19th South, proceeded west across Broadway to turn left into southbound lanes and failed to yield. Allina Ambulance transported a 63-year-old New Ulm woman and a 53-year-old New Ulm woman to New Ulm Medical Center for injuries. Officers found one of the dogs but could not locate an owner. A dog was taken to the animal shelter. The other dog was not located. Police were later informed the other dog was wandering in a park. New Ulm Police • Stopped a vehicle at 4:07 p.m. Tuesday at Broadway and 2nd St. S. for poor driving conduct and talked to the driver, a 28-year-old Winthrop woman who admitted to smoking marijuana while driving. It was determined she was unfit to drive due to cannabis consumption. A search warrant was drafted and granted. A blood sample was obtained. After blood results are learned, a report will be sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office.
