New Ulm Police • Received a theft report from Walmart at 3 p.m. Wednesday. A 40-year-old Winthrop man was observed on video surveillance leaving the store without paying for a $26.51 ham. A report was sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office for consideration of misdemeanor theft charges. • Responded to an animal complaint at 3:43 P.M. Wednesday. An individual took a deceased cat to a veterinary office. It appeared the cat was shot outside by a pellet gun. Police have no suspects. A report was done for documentation.

New Ulm Police • Responded to a call from a suicidal 14-year-old female at 3:50 p.m. Tuesday. She was transported to New Ulm Medical Center for evaluation. Reports were sent to Brown County Probation, Brown County Human Services and CADA (Committee Against Domestic Abuse). • Took a report at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday of an elderly man driving on someone’s lawn on the 900 block, North Garden Street. New Ulm Police • Attempted to locate a suicidal 21-year-old New Ulm man at Saturday morning after he walk from his residence after making concerning comments. Police found the man who agreed to come to the Brown County Law Enforcement Center. He was later transported to New Ulm Medical Center for evaluation. • Talked with a 34-year-old New Ulm woman at 3:22 p.m. Saturday who said she was involved in a physical domestic incident Aug. 29 that required her to seek medical treatment. New Ulm Police • Responded to a two-vehicle crash without injuries at Broadway and 20th South Street at 12:18 p.m. Thursday. A 2007 Mercury Grand Marquis driven southbound on Broadway by Elijah Nashaun Taylor, 19, Hutchinson, made a left turn onto 20th South and collided with a 2021 Chevy Colorado driven northbound on Broadway by Patrick William Guggisberg, 77, New Ulm.
