Minnesota State Patrol • Responded to a two-vehicle crash at 9:07 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of State Highway 5 and Sibley County Road 3, Dryden Township, Sibley County. A 2015 Buick Encore driven westbound on Highway 5 by James Franklin Huffman, 95, Gaylord, collided with a Mack semi truck/trailer driven northbound on CR 13 by Rodney Edwin Christensen, 77, Warba, Mn. Christensen was transported to an Arlington hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Both drivers wore seat belts. An airbag deployed in the Buick. Alcohol was not involved. Sibley County Sheriff’s Office • Responded to a two-vehicle crash without reported injuries at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of 180th Street and 351st Avenue, Washington Lake Township. A 2016 Ford F250 driven southbound on 351st Avneue by Peter Conser, 64, Hamburg, collided with a 2018 Chevy Silverado towing a trailer, driven eastbound on 180th Street by David Bohlman, 59, Green Isle. Both drivers wore seatbelts. No airbags deployed. No injuries were reported. The Ford F250 was towed due to disabling damage. Smith Tire and Oil assisted.

Minnesota State Patrol • Responded to a two-vehicle crash with injuries on Highway 4 at Walnut St. S.W., Sleepy Eye at 7:38 a.m. Monday. A Ford F150 driven by Donald Joseph Billmeier, 85, Sleepy Eye, was southbound on Highway 4 when a motorized tricycle ridden by Susan Joy Petersen, 74, Sleepy Eye, entered Highway 4 from Walnut St. and collided with the truck. Petersen was transported to Sleepy Eye Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. She did not wear a helmet. Billmeier was not injured. Sleepy Eye Police and Sleepy Eye Ambulance assisted. New Ulm Police • Responded to two-vehicle crash reported at 5:14 p.m. Thursday at 7th North and Washington St. A 2013 Nissan Armada driven by Beth Maxine Finnesgard Vavra, 47, New Ulm, was westbound on 7th North, just west of Washington St. as the sun was setting, when she collided with a legally parked pickup truck and trailer. Damage was severe, disabling to the Nissan, significant to the trailer and moderate to the rear of the pickup.
