New Ulm Police

• Took an illegal dumping report at B & J Laundry, 506 Center at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday. Video surveillance captured Walmart, Old Navy, Victoria Secret, Maurices, Pink, North Face, Bath and Body Works and other clothing items with tags that appeared to be new. Investigation showed a 51-year-old Morton man is a suspect. An investigation continues.

• A 50-year-old New Ulm woman reported at 3:47 p.m. Tuesday of being a victim of domestic violence incidents from her 45-year-old Redwood Falls boyfriend. The woman asked that the incidents become documented.

• Assisted Watonwan County with transporting a 28-year-old New Ulm man on a civil commitment to the New Ulm Medical Center at 9:29 a.m. Wednesday. The man tried to flee on foot, was uncooperative before he was handcuffed and transported to the medical center. A report was done for documentation.

• Took a report of a vehicle striking a Walmart parking lot light pole Wednesday night. Police noticed impairment signs from a 35-year-old Sleepy Eye woman, arrested her and transported her to the Brown County Jail. After blood test results are known, a report will be sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office for consideration of DWI charges.
