New Ulm Police
• Responded to a two-vehicle injury crash on icy road conditions at 8:25 a.m. Saturday at Broadway and 7th North. A 2024 Ford Explorer driven by Leigha Schugel, 20, New Ulm, was southbound on Broadway, attempted to stop for a red light, slid on ice and struck a 2005 Ford Explorer driven eastbound by Anthony Powell, 63, New Ulm as it entered the intersection with a green light. Damage was severe-disabling to both vehicles. A passenger in the Schugel vehicle had minor injuries.
