New Ulm Police
• Took an 8 p.m. Sunday report of a combative 12-year-old New Ulm girl making homicidal comments and showing self-harm indications after she was cleared at New Ulm Medical Center. The girl was transported to Carver County Juvenile Detention Center. Reports went to Brown County Human Services and Brown County Attorney’s Office for consideration of threats of violence and domestic assault charges against the girl’s mother.
• Took a report at 4:53 p.m. Sunday from Valley St. and 16th South from a 26-year-old Mountain Lake woman who said she was walking a friend’s dog, crossed an intersection and a white pickup truck struck the dog. The dog did not show any signs of distress. A report was done for documentation.
• Took a report at 5:39 p.m. Saturday of a storage unit that was entered. The storage facility owner said the past storage unit renter, a 29-year-old Sleepy Eye woman, had not paid her rent for months, so he changed locks on the unit. Officers contacted the woman who said she did not cut the lock. A report was done for documentation.
• Stopped a vehicle for expired registration at 8:57 p.m. Friday near the Highway 14-15 intersection. Officers talked to a 29-year-old female driver from Le Sueur, then noticed an open cannabis package in the vehicle. The woman was cited for the open package. A report was done for documentation.
