New Ulm Police

• Talked to a 50-year-old New Ulm man at 8:10 p.m. Wednesday at his residence. The man said he and his 37-year-old girlfriend from North Carolina got into a disagreement. The man said he kicked her out and left all her belongings outside. The woman came to the law enforcement center later in the evening and wanted to report assault charges against the man. Scratch marks and redness were seen on the man and woman. A report went to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office for review of domestic assault charges on both people.

• Stopped a 65-year-old New Ulm man for driving conduct Thursday. Impairment signs were noticed. The man was arrested, transported to the Brown County Jail and cited for fourth-degree DWI. A report went to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office.

Minnesota State Patrol

• Responded to a one-vehicle crash on snow and ice in the Highway 4/County Road 29 roundabout at 12:51 p.m. Wednesday. A 2013 Toyota Corolla driven by Yaasin Mahamed Hawli, 40, Marshall, was westbound on CR 29 and crashed in the roundabout. Hawli wore a seat belt but was transported to Redwood Falls Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Sleepy Eye Police assisted.
