New Ulm Police
• Stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation at Broadway and 9th St. South at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Police noticed impairment signs and arrested the driver, a 39-year-old New Ulm man for fourth-degree DWI, driving after revocation and no proof of insurance. The man was transported to the Brown County Jail. A report went to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office for charge consideration.
• Performed a welfare check on a 64-year-old Minneapolis man said to have dementia at 8:27 p.m. Thursday. The man, with a Hennepin County arrest warrant for disorderly conduct, walked away from a 6th St. North residence but was found nearby and transported to the New Ulm Medical Center for a mental health evaluation. The man will be transported to the Brown County Jail after he is cleared from the hospital.
• Arrested a 25-year-old New Ulm man for third-degree DWI at 8:53 p.m. Thursday after law enforcement center video showed him driving in the parking lot. A report went to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office for charge consideration.
• Stopped a vehicle after receiving a driving complaint on West St. at 11:48 p.m. Thursday. The driver, a 39-year-old New Ulm man showed impairment signs and was arrested and taken to jail. A report went to the New Ulm City Attorney’s office for consideration of a third-degree DWI charge.
