New Ulm Police
• Stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation at 6:26 p.m. Sunday at Minnesota Street and 3rd Street South South. A 47-year-old New Ulm man was arrested for driving after cancellation and transported to the Brown County Jail. A report went to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office for review.
• Took a call about a 25-year-old New Ulm woman who left a group home at 10:57 a.m. Sunday. She was later found to be OK located with family in Brookings, S.D.
• Responded to a juvenile trouble call at Walmart at 8:15 p.m. Saturday. A 17-year-old New Ulm male was issued a no trespassing notice for one year for throwing balls around the store. No damage or injuries were reported.
• Received a one-vehicle crash report at 10:10 a.m. Saturday on slippery, snow-covered roads near Broadway and 11th North. Ellie Marie Anderson, 17, New Ulm, was driving a 2005 Ford 500 southbound on Broadway, turned west on 11th North, left the road and hit a stop sign that was knocked out of the ground. She wore a seat belt and was not injured. Vehicle damage was moderate.
• Received a one-vehicle crash report without injuries on snow-covered roads at Valley and 12th North Street at 11:07 a.m. Tuesday. Curtis Allen Stout, 32, Bloomington, was driving a 2026 Freightliner cube van eastbound on 12th North under a railroad bridge, ignoring low clearance signs. Vehicle damage was moderate and minor to signage.
