New Ulm Police

• Responded to two-vehicle crash reported at 5:14 p.m. Thursday at 7th North and Washington St. A 2013 Nissan Armada driven by Beth Maxine Finnesgard Vavra, 47, New Ulm, was westbound on 7th North, just west of Washington St. as the sun was setting, when she collided with a legally parked pickup truck and trailer. Damage was severe, disabling to the Nissan, significant to the trailer and moderate to the rear of the pickup. Vavra wore a seat belt.

• Cited a 23-year-old New Ulm man for theft at Kwik Trip, 1623 N. Broadway at 2:14 p.m. Thursday. More theft details were not available. He signed a Hennepin County warrant and was released. A report was done for documentation.

• A 23-year-old Mankato woman was arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail at 5:24 p.m. Thursday after a vehicle was stopped at Valley and 13th South. Charges to be considered include fifth-degree drug possession, open cannabis package in a motor vehicle, unlawful prescription drug possession, no valid license or insurance and speeding. A report went to Brown County Human Services.

• Arrested and transported a 45-year-old Mankato man to the Brown County Jail for 3rd-degree DWI at Front and 7th North at 12:05 a.m. Friday. A report went to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office.
