New Ulm Police

• Stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation Monday. The driver, a 40-year-old New Ulm man, did not have a valid driver’s license. He was cited for driving after revocation, prohibited lights, failure to transfer title, failure to have a fender. He was transported to the Brown County Jail for past driving after revocation citations.

• A parent called police Monday about their 15-year-old son threatening to run away if he had to go home with her after school. The boy wanted to go to the residence of the father who does not have custody of him. A report went to Brown County Human Services.

• Responded to a report at 11:56 a.m. Monday of an 11-year-old Sleepy Eye boy who ran away from Riverbend Alternative Learning School. Police found the boy near the school and returned him there. A report went to Brown County Human Services.

• A 19-year-old Sleepy Eye man turned himself in to police at 3:48 p.m. Sunday on a Brown County warrant for domestic assault, threats of violence, second-degree assault and failure to transfer title. The man was escorted to jail. A report for done for documentation.

• Stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation Saturday. The driver, a 42-year-old New Ulm man, displayed impairment signs. He was arrested after failing sobriety tests and transported to New Ulm Medical Center where a blood draw was done. After results are received, the report will be sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office for charge consideration.

• Talked to an 18-year-old New Ulm female at 7:53 a.m. Saturday who said her vehicle window was smashed overnight on the 1400 block of South German St. There are no suspects. A reported was done for documentation.

• Assisted Brown County Probation with an intoxicated client at 7:58 p.m. Friday. An Apprehension and Detention Order was issued for the arrest of the 36-year-old New Ulm man. He was transported to New Ulm Medical Center, then detox. A report went to Brown County Probation.

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash at 12:53 p.m. Oct. 15. A 2008 truck driven by Dylan Kral, 29, New Ulm was northbound on Garden St. when it collided with a 2016 truck driven eastbound on 16th St. North, by Jesus Colon, 23, Kimssimmi, Fl that pulled forward onto Garden St. Colon had a hand injury. His truck had front end damage. Kral’s truck had side damage and was towed. Both drivers wore seat belts.

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash without reported injuries at 11:39 p.m. Friday on 4th St. South. Madison Herzog, 19, New Ulm, was driving a 2013 Chevy Cruz southbound on Front St., was distracted by a mobile device and hit the rear end of a legally parked 1972 Trail Duster camper. The car was towed due to disabling damage. The trailer had severe damage.
