New Ulm Police

• Responded to the Diocese of New Ulm Friday for a report of a 26-year-old Sleepy Eye woman having a mental health crisis. She agreed to be taken to the New Ulm Medical Center. A report was done for documentation.

• Stopped a vehicle for suspicious activity at Center and Minnesota at 10:38 p.m. Friday. A 68-year-old New Ulm man was given a verbal warning for no proof of insurance after a K9 search of the vehicle.

• Took a report at 6:36 a.m. Saturday of a vehicle keyed on the 100 block of German St. South. A 26-year-old Mounds View man said he heard an argument outside Friday night. Police talked to a possible suspect, a 52-year-old St. Francis man. He denied any involvement. Damage was estimated at $1,000. A report was done for documentation.

• Took a call Saturday morning of a camper with a broken window on the 800 block, Front St. South. A 61-year-old New Ulm woman said the camper was at storage unit on Front St. South when the damaged occurred. Damage was estimated at $300. A report was done for documentation.

• Took a trespass complaint Saturday afternoon from Broadway Haus about a 75-year-old homeless woman returning after being evicted and given a trespass warning. She was cited for trespassing. A report was done for documentation.

• At 2:53 p.m. Sunday, a 53-year-old New Ulm man reported a 68-year-old New Ulm man forced sexual acts to be performed on him by a 46-year-old homeless woman. A report went to investigators.

• Took a report at 4:50 p.m. Sunday of a man learning over a van for the past four hours on the 1600 block of South Broadway. Police found an intoxicated 59-year-old Willmar man. A 64-year-old Willmar man told police he would care for the man. A report went to Kandiyohi County Community Corrections.

• Stopped a vehicle for speeding at 5:26 P.M. Sunday at 10th St. South and Washington. The driver, a 45-year-old New Ulm man had a revoked driver’s license. He was cited for speeding, driving after revocation and possession of an open package of cannabis. A report went to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office, Brown County Probation and Minnesota Department of Corrections.

• Took a call Sunday night of someone waving a handgun and threatening others at Hermann Heights Park. Police met with the suspect, a 16-year-old New Ulm boy and his father at his residence were the gun was found. Reports went to the Brown County Attorney’s Office for charge consideration of carrying a weapon without a permit and to Brown County Probation.
