New Ulm Police

• Responded at 7:05 p.m. Thursday to a report of a man who jumped the detox fence. Police located a 20-year-old Hutchinson man who resisted arrest at first before a 39-year old New Ulm bystander helped the officer put the man in handcuffs before more officers arrived. The man was returned to detox. A report for consideration of an obstructing legal process charge went to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.

• Stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation at 10:08 p.m. at Minnesota St. South and 1st St. South. Impairment signs were detected from a 37-year-old Sleepy Eye driver who was arrested and taken to the Brown County Jail after field sobriety tests. The suspect was cited for 4th-degree DWI.

Brown County Sheriff’s Office

• Assisted with the eviction of a 75-year-old woman by property management at 300 N. Broadway at 11:28 a.m. Friday. No damage or injuries were reported. A report was done for documentation.
