New Ulm Police
• Responded to an intoxicated 40-year-old New Ulm man laying the grass on the 1500 block, Minnesota St. South at 4:41 p.m. Tuesday. The man was transported to detox. No charges were filed.
• Responded to a complaint of two neglected cats on the 800 block, Payne St. South at 6:44 p.m. Tuesday. The cats were transported to the city animal pound. A report for consideration of mistreating animals was sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office.
• Stopped a vehicle at 1:18 a.m. Wednesday at 16th St. South and Franklin. A vehicle occupant was cited for open bottle.
• Responded to a suspicious activity report at 2:50 a.m. at Kwik Trip South, 1521 S. Broadway. A 17-year-old Lake Crystal male was ticketed for minor consumption after knocking on windows and asking for a place to sleep. A report went to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.
Sleepy Eye Police
• Responded to a suspicious activity report at 8:38 a.m. Wednesday on the 600 block, 2nd Avenue N.E. A resident said a man tried to enter his garage but he scared him away. The suspect was described as slim and tall with dark skin. Police are waiting to view video footage of the incident.
