Minnesota State Patrol
• Responded to a two-vehicle injury crash on State Highway 60 and U.S. Highway 169 at 11:56 p.m. Thursday, South Bend Township, Blue Earth County. A 2007 Ford Edge driven by westbound on Highway 60 by Julie Johnston, Alamogordo, N.M. when she collided with a 2019 Dodge Charger driven by Kyle Aaron Helget, 19, New Ulm, who was northbound on Highway 169. Johnson wore a seat belt but was transported to Mayo Clinic Mankato with non-life threatening injuries. Helget was not injured and wore a seat belt. Alcohol was not involved. Assisting agencies included the Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office, Mankato Police, South Bend Fire and Mayo Clinic Ambulance.
• Responded to a one-vehicle crash at 9:59 p.m. Thursday on State Highway 4 at Nicollet CR 21, Ridgely Township, Nicollet County. Jamie Jo Caroline Fritz, 45, Hayfield, was driving a 2016 Jeep Cherokee westbound on CR 21, left the road at a T-intersection with Highway 4 and came to rest down a ravine. She was transported to Sleepy Eye Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. She wore a seat belt. Alcohol was not involved. Fairfax Police, Fire and Ambulance and the Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office assisted.
• Responded to a three-vehicle injury crash at 6:31 p.m. Wednesday on State Highway 7 and Kandiyohi CR 5, Roseland Township, Kandiyohi County. A 2009 Saturn Outlook driven southbound on CR 5 by Patricia Ann Leith, 37, Redwood Falls, collided with a 2024 Toyota Corolla driven westbound on Highway 7 by Cody Douglas Clement, 31, Newport. The Saturn then collided with a 2023 Toyota RAV 4 driven westbound on Highway 7 by Carrie Jayne Asake, 44, Prinsburg. Leith and Clement wore seat belts but were transported to Rice Memorial Hospital, Willmar with non-life threatening injuries. Alcohol was not involved. The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office, Blomkest Fire, Raymond Ambulance and Centra Care Ambulance assisted.
Brown County Sheriff’s Office
• Responded to a one-vehicle crash at 2:58 p.m. Thursdayh near the CR 10/27 intersection, Home Township. A Sleepy Eye woman was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox and left the road. She was transported to Sleepy Eye Medical Center. A report was done for documentation.
New Ulm Police
• Responded to a suicidal statement report regarding a 47-year-old New Ulm man. The man was transported to New Ulm Medical Center Behavioral Health unit. A report went to Brown County Human Services.
• Arrested a New Ulm man for domestic assault on the 1000 block of Spring St. N. at 3:26 a.m. Friday. The man was transported to detox. A report went to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.
