Minnesota State Patrol

• Responded to a one-vehicle crash with non-life threatening injuries at Highways 68 and 15 at 5:34 p.m. Sunday. Dawn Marie Smith, 59, Mankato, was driving a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound on Highway 68, approaching Highway 15, lost control and left the road. She did not wear a helmet and was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center. Alcohol was not involved. The Brown County Sheriff’s Office and Allina Ambulance assisted.

• Responded to a one-vehicle crash with non-life threatening injuries at 2:27 p.m. Sunday at Highway 19 and 1st St. N.W., Fairfax at 2:27 p.m. Sunday. Bruce Francis Thooft, 55, New Prague, was driving a 2017 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup eastbound from a parking lot and collided with a pedestrian, Kimberly Jo Thooft, 58, New Prague. She was transported to a Robbinsdale hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Alcohol was not involved. The Renville County Sheriff’s Office, Fairfax and Lower Sioux Police assisted.

Brown County Sheriff’s Office

• Responded to the Brown County landfill at 11:49 a.m. Tuesday regarding a 51-year-old North Mankato man who became upset about landfill fees and regulations. The man was issued a no trespassing letter at the landfill and told his load must be secure. The man then traveled to the Brown County Law Enforcement Center where he confronted sheriff’s office staff at 1:07 p.m. A report for threats of violence and disorderly conduct was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.

McLeod County Sheriff’s Office

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash near CR 9 and 185th St., east of Lester Prairie at 6:52 p.m. Monday. A 2016 Chevrolet Silverado owned by David Nord, driven by Jose Cartagena Duarte, 41, Evan; collided with a 2006 TK Sterling straight truck owned by Valley Paving, Inc., driven by Andrew Lemcke, 50, New Ulm. There were no apparent injuries. Both drivers wore seat belts.

New Ulm Police

• Received a domestic assault report at 8:47 a.m. Tuesday between a 47-year-old New Ulm woman and her 23-year-old daughter. No visible injuries were found. No medical attention was sought. A report for consideration of domestic assault charges on the daughter was sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office. Reports were also sent to the Committee Against Domestic Assault (CADA).
