New Ulm Police

• Stopped a vehicle at 4:07 p.m. Tuesday at Broadway and 2nd St. S. for poor driving conduct and talked to the driver, a 28-year-old Winthrop woman who admitted to smoking marijuana while driving. It was determined she was unfit to drive due to cannabis consumption. A search warrant was drafted and granted. A blood sample was obtained. After blood results are learned, a report will be sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office. The woman was transported to the Brown County Jail.

• Talked with a 22-year-old New Ulm woman at 7:18 p.m. Tuesday who said her TikTok page was viewed by a 22-year-old New Ulm woman who she had a Harassment Restraining Order against. The suspect woman denied viewing the TikTok page of the accusing woman and that she unfollowed her July 8. Due to the reporting party already blocking the suspect, no evidence was able to be obtained to prove an HRO violated occurred. A report was done for documentation.

• Responded to a report of a domestic incident at 9:10 p.m. Tuesday on 17th St. S. without detected injuries between a 15-year-old New Ulm female and her mother that included the mother grabbing the daughter. The girl said she hit her mother in the back of the head with a Stanley cup. A report went to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office for domestic assault charges against both individuals.

• Talked to the mother of a 14-year-old New Ulm girl at 11:31 p.m. Tuesday at 300 N. Broadway, who said her daughter was assaulted by a 17-year-old New Ulm girl at the Mueller Park parking lot. The mother didn’t notice visible injuries. The mother said her daughter must have ridden from the 17-year-old’s ex-boyfriend the other night which upset the 17-year-old. The mother was unsure if she wanted to file charges or document the incident.
