New Ulm Police
• Arrested and transported a 41-year-old New Ulm man to the Brown County Jail at 11:33 p.m. Thursday on an Anoka County warrant for vehicle theft. A report was done for documentation.
Sibley County Sheriff’s Office
• Was dispatched to a car-deer crash at 10:07 p.m. Thursday on Highway 19 just east of Winthrop. Samantha Leighton, 24, was westbound when she struck a deer, causing airbags to deploy. She was transported to a hospital with minor injuries. Gaylord Police, Winthrop Fire and Ambulance and the Minnesota State Patrol assisted.
