New Ulm Police

• Officers noticed a vehicle operating with a gas pump nozzle and about 12 feet of a gas hose dragging behind it near 1st St. S. and Washington St. at 5:44 p.m. Saturday. Police talked with a 71-year-old Edina man who said he just filled up with gas at Kwik Trip in New Ulm. Police found a damaged pump at Kwik Trip. Insurance information was provided to Kwik Trip. A report was done for documentation.

• Officers noticed a 39-year-old Sleepy Eye woman walking on Highway 14 near Nicollet CR 37 that appeared distressed at 8:28 p.m. Saturday. It appeared she may have walked away from a vehicle where a domestic incident occurred with her 40-year-old Sleepy Eye boyfriend. Witnesses told police a woman parked a vehicle on top of the roundabout, exited the driver’s side and began to walk away from the man. The woman was arrested for DWI. A report went to the Nicollet County Attorney’s Office for consideration of first-degree DWI.

• Took a report of a bicycle theft from an unlocked Washington St. N. garage at 9:19 a.m. Monday. Officers talked to a 46-year-old New Ulm man who said his red tandem bike, storage rack over the back fender and kickstand were stolen in the last two weeks. The bike was valued at $100. A report was done for documentation.
