New Ulm Police
• An individual reported finding a severely damaged laptop computer on her property at New Ulm Mobile Village at 7:07 p.m. Saturday. A sticker indicated the laptop was New Ulm Public School property. The school resource officer learned the laptop belonged to a 16-year-old New Ulm student. The school had an agreement with students that they are responsible for all damages. A report was done for documentation.
• Police were called at 1:04 a.m. Sunday about an intoxicated, 42-year-old New Ulm man lying on the ground near Minnesota St. and 4th North. The man was transported to detox. A report was done for documentation.
• Officers received a call Sunday afternoon from a man who said he believed his two daughters got into a physical altercation while driving home to Mankato. Police found the two sisters, age 17 and 18, both of Mankato, parked on the side of the road. The 17-year-old was bleeding from the face. The 18-year-old admitted she and her sister were arguing over the use of a cell phone charger in the car and where they were going to eat. The 18-year-old admitted to hitting her sister in the face. The parents arrived and picked up both girls. A report went to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office for review.
Minnesota State Patrol
• Received a two-vehicle crash report on Highway 212/CR 1, Danube, Renville County at 9:50 a.m. Monday. A 2016 Mercedes van driven northbound on CR 1 by David Ramsay Munro, 84, Fort Myers, Fl. Collided with a 2025 Freightliner driven westbound on Highway 212 by Yevhenii Mykolenko, 32, Arlington Heights, IL. David Munro was transported to Rice Hospital, Willmar with non-life threatening injuries. Carol Munro, 91, Fort Myers, Fl. Was transported to North Memorial Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Nykolenko had non-life threatening injuries but was not transported to a medical facility. All individuals wore seat belts. Assisting were the Renville County Sheriff’s Office, Danube Police and First Responders and Olivia Ambulance.
• Received a one-single crash report at 8:57 p.m. Sunday on State Highway 30, Amboy Township, Cottonwood County. Scott Oneil Arndtson, 35, Jeffers, was driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound on Highway 30 and struck a deer in the road. He did not wear a helmet and was transported to a Windom hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The Jeffers Fire Dept., Windom Ambulance and the Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office assisted.
